Streetart / ThailandIt is actually not that easy to find graffiti or street paintings in Bangkok. At first you wouldn’t think that and the city is also basically just a single “street art”. A mish-mash of humans strolling around, countless food variations and stalls. Everything is packed with stuff, the buildings and walls are full of trinkets, neon signs, advertisements, cable clutter, hanging laundry or any kind of garbage. But that’s why there is not much room for bigger graffitis there. At least in the center. Of course there are tags everywhere and smaller fast made stuff, but large free wall surfaces are rare and bigger artworks are more found in the outer neighbourhoods or at hidden places. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Atelier / Germany / PainterBeing able to exhibit as an artist in a gallery or even in a museum is a long and difficult journey. Due to socio-culturally shaped exclusivities such doors are opened to a few. Through relationships, the academic career, the finances, by luck or really the absolutely outstanding talent and a lot of hard work it already works, but there are not so many galleries and exhibition venues. This is also due to the high maintenance costs, the low subsidies and the conditional demand for art objects in general. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Malta / StreetartMalta was initially a disappointment when it comes to street art. Everywhere only the color ochre and ochre and again ochre on these strange conservative stones. But in between, and often half-hidden, there are still small oases of urban art. Some of these creative spaces have been generated by the fantastic crew of ADD MORE COLORS during the few utterly legendary MALTA STREETART FESTIVALS, while another important spot is certainly the colorful and famouse MSIDA SKATE PARK, of which the MSA MALTA SKATEBOARD ASSOCIATION is taking care of. But we found even more super awesome and also less awesome stuff. Especially the great local artists COOKER, JUSTINK’S AND MURALS or TWITCH should be mentioned here. They are talented productive and heartful busy all over the island by bringing diversity on this rock. Or let´s say multiple rocks. There are some more islands. And yes, we have also streetart footage even from the island Gozo! Check out the huge gallery with around 1000 photos and numerous sub-articles. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Nature / South AfricaOn a trip to South Africa and Cape Town, the picturesque Cape of Good Hope is of course one of the main spots you should have seen. The spectacularly shaped peninsula between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans rises like an arrow into the maritime border area and frames a paradisiac white sandy beach, where turquoise blue waves break. We stayed for a few days in Mothercity, as Cape Town is often called, and explored the region by rental car. As far as you can handle the traffic on the left, this is probably the cheapest and most flexible exploration opportunity. Of course, many things also go by public transport and countless tours and day trips are offered, but if you want to avoid the big tourist crowds and prefer a free time schedule, then we clearly recommend the rental car. The easiest way to book the vehicle you want at Avis, Europcar, Budget, Tempest or Thrifty is to pick up and drop off directly at the airport. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

The country is one of the smallest on the South American continent, but it has holiday opportunities fustdick behind the ears. The city is located at the mouth of the Río de la Plata and has about 1.3 million inhabitants. Buenos Aires in Argentina is on the other side of the river, actually only 213 kilometers as the crow flies. You can easily take ferries here, driving through countless boats. Incidentally, Montevideo celebrates the longest carnival in the world BEFORE Brazil and Rio.
